Terms & Conditions

Lesson Bookings
When you book a lesson, the time, date, and place are agreed by both parties. This slot is reserved for you and not available to other pupils.

Licences & Legal Requirements
You must bring a valid driving licence to each lesson and inform us immediately of any endorsements during your training. Pupils are legally responsible for following the Highway Code and road law at all times. Any penalties or endorsements are the driver’s responsibility.

Cancellations & Rearrangements
    •    Cancellations require at least 48 hours’ notice.
    •    Rearrangements must be made at least 24 hours in advance within the same week (Sunday–Sunday).
    •    If you give less notice, the lesson will be charged in full.

Fitness to Drive
You must be fit to drive at the time of your lesson. If there is evidence of alcohol or drugs (prescribed or illegal), the lesson will be cancelled and charged in full. An alcohol breathalyser may be used at the instructor’s discretion. If you refuse, the lesson will not go ahead and the fee remains payable.

Driving Tests
It is your responsibility to bring the correct documents (driving licence, theory certificate if required) and to confirm the correct date and time of your test. If the DVSA cancels a test due to bad weather, your lesson fee will still be due. The instructor reserves the right not to take a pupil to test if they are not at a safe standard.

Delays & Cancellations by JG Drive
If your instructor is delayed due to traffic, the lost time will be added back onto your lesson. If we are unable to deliver your lesson due to sickness, accident, or other unforeseen events, we will rearrange at the earliest convenient time. Lesson safety decisions in poor weather will be made by the instructor.

Use of Own Car
If training is carried out in a pupil’s or third-party vehicle, it is the responsibility of the owner and pupil to ensure the car is roadworthy, legal, and insured for paid tuition.

Payments
Lessons must be paid for at least 48 hours in advance by cash, bank transfer, or approved app. Block bookings must be used within 6 months of the payment date unless otherwise agreed in writing. (This is non-refundable)

Data & Privacy
We hold essential data (contact details, licence information) as part of providing your training. Without this, we cannot legally or safely deliver lessons. Data can be removed upon request, but this will mean lessons must stop. Photos and testimonials may be used for promotional purposes unless you ask us not to.

Commitment
Learning to drive safely is a shared commitment. We commit to giving you patient, professional training and expect the same respect and commitment in return.
