Thank you from Action for Children
We are delighted to be Jonny’s chosen charity this year and by donating, you will help us provide all kinds of opportunities, resources and activities for the children and young people who so desperately need our help. To give you a glimpse of how your generous gifts help us, here are some of the things our local projects have been able to do this past year: Ladywood Family Centre, where our Intensive Family Support is situated was able to provide much needed food vouchers for families in crises. They were also able to supply homes with washing machines, fridges and other white goods that families just could not afford. This made such a huge difference to the lives of some very vulnerable children, allowing them to have clean clothes and fresh food. Our cluster of Children’s Centre’s in Sandwell took over 100 families on day trips to the seaside. Many of the children we look after do not have the opportunity to get away to the seaside and for lots of them it was their first sight of the sea. They had lots of fun making sand castles and eating ice cream on the beach. Beautiful wooden dolls houses were very kindly donated Sandwell Children’s Centre’s also. Action for Children’s Worcester City Early Help was very humbled by the kind donations of selection boxes, toys and money used to buy presents for children over the Christmas period. Families who were struggling to provide for the children so gratefully received these donations. Your wonderful donations help to make these, and the other 650 services we provide, possible. Thank you all, for your kindness and thoughtfulness, which inspires hope in the vulnerable children and young people we help. We could not do that without you.
